Real ID

So I came across this neat little article about the Real ID Act which i thought was intriging. Apparently we will all need to get a federally regulated ID to further prove our existance. i also noticed 85 billion dollars was approved with the defense budget or whatnot, of course approved by Bush. I dont really have much to say about this except that it better be a neato ID with a quality picture on it. hope i get some good feedback so i can get some other angles on this that i may not be seeing.

www.cnet.com

This is actually kind of a follow to the last post where I just wanted to talk about CNET , It's actually a really well designed website for one...the most complicated, coding wise, that i've really seen. Im particulary impressed by the reviews they do for new products through video feed. I feel as though i get an honest and unbiased review that way, not too mention you get a chance to see the product in real time. The website is helpfull is comparing products and has a number a features to aid in decision making such as customer reviews and product analysis. i swear im not a rep for this site, but for all those who dont know of CNET and are interested in electronics or plan to make a purchase this site is a good first stop.

Free Wi-Fi?

So I ran accross this article on Cnet.com called Wi-Fi Should be Free and thought it raised good points and arguments. I agree that Wi-Fi should be free due to its very low cost to provide, and maybe it should even be paid for out of city/state/federal budgets.....eh? Also, if internet is free at hotels, restaurants...etc then phones really wouldnt be necessary becuase everyone already has a cell phone and VoIp could be used to replace land lines. I would also like to express my frustration towards those hotspots that want you to sign a subscription to access their service like starbucks! They make in like 15 subscriptions the total cost to provide internet to all their locations, and i'm sure there are thousands signed up. Anyways check out the article and exapand your horizons.

At home make-up work

Today i made up the work that i had missed from last weeks class due to an overload of other responsibilities. Honestly I'm not sure If i was given extra work or if what i did was equivalent to what the class did, but it seemed like an aweful lot. Maybe that is just an indicator of how work gets done quicker and more efficiently in class with a partner. I also felt deprived of the others opinions and it felt as though what small shares of the overall project i completed was meaningless without seeing the overall finsihed product that the class put together. Even being able to look at the moodle posts and the survey, I felt as though i got the mere remnence. Lastly, i find the material much more ingaging in an interactive group like our class, as opposed to being alone. i do not recommend missing class.

Problem

Problem: Should I get an MP3 player?

Restatement: It is necessary for my lifestyle to have an MP3 player?

Pros: Portable music while I run, at the gym, walk to class, travel...

Cons: Expensive, another gadget to distract me

Cons fixes: In order to cope with the expense I could work an extra day a week for a month. Also I could cut back on other expenses temporarily. As far as the distraction, I could vow to only update it with music on the weekend so not to take away from valuable study time on the weekdays.

Solution: Ultimately, I believe the pros exceed the cons and the sacrifces that will have to be made to get the mp3 player are not really sacrafices at all. I believe that my lifestyle is in desperate need for portable music (haha), and what am I working for anyways, we only live once.

first blog

1. I learned how to use inspiration and post my masterpieces to moodle. I also was successfully able to mp my brain in order to better my life. I was informed that IE and Blogger don't work well. I lastly, discovered my picture needs to be changed immediately!

2. Inspiration will be a tool that i will be able to use not only in class but later in life in my career.

3. Well, its not really unclear, but i don't understand how people have so much free time to be Blogging constantly.
